Professional Background

Overview

I am a Licensed Educational Psychologist (LEP #4587) with over a decade of experience as a school psychologist, providing comprehensive psychoeducational assessments, consultation, and advocacy for children and adolescents from preschool through high school throughout California. Over the course of my career, I have partnered with hundreds of families to support students through evaluations, IEP planning, and educational decision-making.

IEP Advocacy & Family Guidance

I specialize in guiding families through the often complex and emotional Individualized Education Program (IEP) process—helping parents understand their child’s learning profile, their educational rights, and how to advocate effectively for meaningful supports and services. Whether a family is just beginning to ask questions or is navigating eligibility disputes, independent educational evaluations (IEEs), or placement concerns, I partner with them every step of the way.

“My goal is to ensure families feel heard, informed, and empowered throughout the IEP process.”

Assessment Philosophy & Clinical Approach

My work is grounded in a deep understanding of child development, cognitive and academic assessment, and the social-emotional factors that impact learning. I conduct thorough psychoeducational evaluations that integrate cognitive, academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and adaptive functioning data to create clear, practical recommendations tailored to each student’s unique needs.

Collaboration & Support Services

In addition to assessments, I work closely with parents, educators, and school teams to:

  • Interpret evaluation results in clear, family-friendly language

  • Prepare families for IEP meetings and decision-making

  • Collaborate with IEP teams to identify appropriate supports, accommodations, and services

  • Advocate for students who are struggling academically, behaviorally, or emotionally

  • Support students with learning disabilities, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, anxiety, and other educational challenges

What I value most about this work is that no two students are ever the same. Each child brings a unique learning profile, set of strengths, and challenges. I am passionate about finding the right tools, strategies, and interventions to help students not only make progress, but also build confidence, resilience, and a more positive relationship with school.

Guiding Principle

Above all, my goal is to ensure families feel heard, informed, and empowered—and that students receive the support they need to thrive both academically and emotionally.
